Start learning the English Alphabet with this Braille Training Board. The board is conveniently sized at 9″x 12″ for practice and storage. It features the English Alphabet letters in capital case in raised tactile letters with the raised Braille dots directly below each letter. Braille dots are a code that enables visually impaired persons to read. There is no specific Braille code for capital letters themselves, but the presence of the dot in the #6 position preceding the letter indicates the letter is a capital. This board gives the student training in this feature as well as the tactile feel of the written letters in caps. The board also includes the ten single digit numerals. The upper right corner of the board is rounded so the student can easily orient the board to the proper position. Because the Braille and tactile letters are manufactured to be compliant with Federal ADA and CA Title 24 standards, the student also gains experience with reading manufactured informational ADA signage.
